Dear Reader,
About two months ago, I learned that a long-time friend had died, unexpectedly and it seems, rather tragically. I want to take a moment now, as I think about him, to acknowledge what he meant to me.

Dear Mom,
I know you are in heaven now. No more pain, no more sadness. Perhaps some may think it strange for me to write this here. But I know that you hear the words of my heart as I miss you tonight. You raised 14 children to be loving, responsible and giving people, and in turn they have brought grandchildren and great-grandchildren into this world to also be raised with love. I know that no one is perfect, and I even heard you say it of yourself. But I want to say that you were a remarkable woman. I |
